IF MY PEOPLE……

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”  [2 Chron 7:14]

“……..for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.”  [Ps 22:28]

“I urge then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives..”  [1 Tim 2:1, emphasis added]

On 27 February around 100 folk gathered online from all over Scotland and beyond in a time of united prayer declaring the greatness and goodness of God, confessing the sins of the nation, and praying into aspects of the conduct and process of the SNP leadership campaign.

There was support that night for another time of prayer during the campaign, so we will meet again online at 7.30pm on Monday 13th March.  This date is significant as at 12 noon that day SNP members start to vote for their new leader.  Voting ends at 12 noon on 27th March.

This election is not only important for the SNP, it is significant for the whole of Scotland and beyond.  The new leader of the SNP will become Scotland’s First Minister, the leader of the Scottish Government.  As such they will have to deal with and relate to the leaders of the Governments and Assemblies in the rest of the United Kingdom, especially with the Prime Minister and Cabinet in London.

As Christians, we know that God is ultimately in total control of the fate and destiny of kings, presidents, prime ministers and of whole nations.  At the same time, He has issued an invitation to His children to ‘ask (keep on asking), seek (keep on seeking) and knock (keep on knocking)’ – to persevere in prayer.

In His divine mercy He has granted us the privilege of boldly approaching the throne of grace  with our requests on behalf of our nation, our people, our political leaders.

So, just as Esther approached King Xerxes with her request ‘for such a time as this’, which ultimately saved her people from destruction, we will gather before the King above all kings, the God above all gods, by His invitation, to pray and intercede for and on behalf of Scotland – the people, the Church, the political institutions and leaders.

While a few were unable to attend on the night, all 100 places available last time were booked and there was a waiting list.  So we have increased the capacity and will be able to host as many as wish to be part of this gathering on Monday 13th.  We will also be praying for a bit longer – from 7.30pm – 9.00pm.

As before, please book your place via the link to Eventbrite below, by 12 noon on Monday 13th March at the latest.   The email with the Zoom login will be sent out by 3pm that day.

Please do not publicise the link generally on social media, but only send it within your networks, fellowships etc. to those you know, and ask them also not to publicise it generally.

We know from times past that there is power released when the body of Christ comes together ‘As One!’ to pray before a holy and righteous God.  ‘Prayer is the sinew that moves the muscle of God’ and ‘Prayer changes things!’  Prayer has changed the destiny and fate of nations, including our own, and prayer can do so again.

We look forward to welcoming many of those receiving this invitation next Monday – from all over Scotland and beyond.  Last time we were joined by folk from the rest of the United Kingdom with a heart to pray for Scotland, and we expect the same to happen again.  The outcome of this election will not only affect the future of Scotland, it will also have an impact on the rest of the UK.  So feel free to invite contacts from around our nations to join us.

To register and book your place, click on the link below.  You should receive a confirmation email after you register.  If you do not see it, check your ‘spam’ or ‘junk’ folders.  You will then receive an email by 3pm on Monday with the Zoom login details.

We look forward to meeting and praying with many of you on Monday.

Every blessing as you continue to pray for revival in the Church and transformation in this nation of Scotland!

FATHER’S LOVE LETTER
The Father’s Love letter continues to be given away all over Scotland – and beyond.  Following several recent requests for copies we have taken delivery of another 20,000, bringing to 980,000 the total printed since we started giving them away in 2007.

One more print run, and we will reach the amazing total of 1,000,000!

We continue to be blessed by the many and varied requests from both new folk and ‘repeat orders’ and by the generous gifts received from so many of you which enable us to keep supplying them.  We continue to believe that all these seeds of the Father’s love sown in Scotland and beyond will one day produce a great harvest!
