STAND IN THE GAP 2024 – THANK YOU!
If you took part in StAnd in the Gap 2024 – Thank you so much for your support and involvement! The 72 hours were more successful than we could ever have hoped, given all the challenges and the short time for publicity. God, as always, was faithful to His call!
Some of the YouTube statistics are:
- Introductory video from Sunday 24th to Wednesday 27th: Approx. 1.3K views.
- StAnd in the Gap videos over the 3 days: Over 3,640 separate viewings.
From the posts on Facebook and Instagram (these cover the month of November, but the majority will be down to StAnd in the Gap as we were much quieter for most of last month):
- Facebook – 1,172 engagements with a reach of 5,434 users, with the single highest engagement for a single post being 4,653
- Instagram – 2,700 views, 60% from existing followers and 40% from non-followers.
We had a wonderful range of contributors and topics, and the great thing is we can declare: “God heard every prayer and He will answer!”
All the videos and prayer points can still be viewed on YouTube – just type in (or copy and paste) standinthegapprayer.co.uk into the browser and select the time period you want to view.
PRAY WITH US IN DECEMBER
Many thanks to all who joined us last month for our prayer gathering. It was so encouraging to see so many.
Our last gathering for this year is at 7.30pm on Monday 16th December. We will focus on those less fortunate than most of us – those caught up in addictions and the homeless – and celebrate what God is doing in the area of church planting, with:
- Ricky McAddock, Chief Executive of Street Connect, a Christian charity that grew out of Glasgow City Church which reaches out to addicts and the homeless on the streets of Glasgow and surrounding areas;
- Alan McWilliam, Team Leader of Cairn, a missional movement working with 14 denominations to plant new churches across Scotland.

Our first meeting in 2025 will be on Monday 20thJanuary, then on the 3rd Monday every month. Why not put the dates in your 2025 diary and calendar now?
SHINE YOUR LIGHT 2024
It’s not too late to register your carol singing or outreach event with ‘Shine your Light’ here Even if your event is something your church does every year please do register it so we can see many Scottish events contributing to 100,000 Christians on the streets or in the shopping centres this Christmas!
FATHER’S LOVE LETTER The Father’s Love letter continues to be given away all over Scotland – and beyond. Following several recent requests for copies we have taken delivery of another 20,000, bringing to 980,000 the total printed since we started giving them away in 2007. One more print run, and we will reach the amazing total of 1,000,000! We continue to be blessed by the many and varied requests from both new folk and ‘repeat orders’ and by the generous gifts received from so many of you which enable us to keep supplying them. We continue to believe that all these seeds of the Father’s love sown in Scotland and beyond will one day produce a great harvest! Whatever amount you can use – large or small – please do email us. |
